The Weissmandl Rescues — Microshort Stories Episode 6

About this product

Rabbi Michoel Ber Weissmandl was the chief strategist of the Bratislava Working Group, which, under Gisi Fleischmann's leadership, bargained with and bribed the SS to stall the deportation trains from Slovakia for nearly two years. The day the trains came for his own wife and five children, he could not stop them. He sawed his way out of the cattle car and went on alone. Microshort Stories are 3D animated short films that bring individual Holocaust stories to life in 90 seconds. Each episode focuses on one person — one act of courage, resistance, or witness.
